Treating and Understanding Genital Warts

The human papilloma virus or HPV is the cause of all warts, including genital warts, and it is a very contagious virus. Lying dormant for months or even years, victims of the virus are often surprised when it surfaces. They appear as small, flesh-colored bumps that sometimes may also appear to resemble a cauliflower. They may either appear sporadically or in groups and are considered one of the most common types of sexually transmitted diseases. Although many treatments promise to cure the virus, there is never a guarantee. The best thing to do is to protect yourself again the risk of getting the virus, and if you do contract it, you should use products to control the symptoms.
